I was actually glutened my first gluten free Halloween by a Milky Way 🤦‍♀️…which is why I wanted to share this friendly reminder that barley malt contains gluten (but not wheat) so there won’t be a contains wheat warning BUT it is still not celiac safe. 🙅‍♀️ Barley malt is used in the: ❌ Original Milky Way ❌ Cookie Dough flavor But it’s NOT in the: ✅ Midnight Milky Way ✅ Caramel Milky Way (discontinued but if ya find it 🤣) It’s important to keep in mind Milky Ways are not labeled gluten free, even when they have no gluten ingredients, so there is potentially still a cross-contact risk. 🤷‍♀️ But the representative I talked to did say that a “may contain” allergen will always be included if allergen cross-contact may occur, so as always…you do you and only eat what YOU are comfortable with‼️ Do you eat the midnight Milky Way if you’re gluten free?
