Cut the strips of bacon into bite size pieces. Toss the bacon with the brown sugar until evenly coated. 2. In a large, deep pan over medium-heat heat, add the bacon. Cook until desired crispness. Transfer the bacon to a separate plate and set aside. *Leave the residual bacon grease in the pan. 2. Reduce heat to medium and add the butter and green beans to the pan. Stir to combine. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes or until green beans soften, stirring occasionally. 3. Add the cooked bacon, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper into the pan. Stir to evenly distribute the bacon and seasonings.
