Bookbinding cover design process: quarter/half binding measurements for cover boards. I followed DAS Bookbinding’s tutorial on YT for how to measure out the spine and corner pieces for a quarter bind cover. (There seems to be some debate in the binding world [aka the discord I’m a part of] about whether this style is a quarter, half, or three-quarter bind.) For this project, I measured 1/4 of the board width for the spine edge covering and used the same measurement for the corner pieces. This took a lot of measurement and re-measurement (as you’ll see in the video) and finagling with my triangle to get the angles correct.
