I stopped wearing what I once thought protected me… The evil eye is often explained today as something harmless — a cultural symbol, a piece of jewellery meant to “ward off jealousy,” “block bad energy,” or protect you from people with ill intentions. Many wear it without a second thought, believing it’s simply a reminder to stay positive or spiritually guarded. But when you look deeper, the meaning of the evil eye isn’t rooted in faith — it’s rooted in fear. Historically, the evil eye is tied to the belief that other humans have the power to harm you through envy, glances, or intention. And the symbol itself is believed to deflect that harm. In other words, protection is placed in an object rather than in God. As a Christian, that’s where the issue lies. The Bible is clear that protection comes from the Lord alone — not from symbols, jewellery, charms, crystals, or rituals. When we wear something believing it will protect us, we’re unknowingly assigning spiritual authority to a created thing rather than the Creator. Even if the intention feels innocent, the practice subtly shifts trust. From God → to an object. From faith → to fear. From prayer → to a symbol. Scripture repeatedly warns against placing trust in idols — and an idol doesn’t have to be a statue. An idol is anything we rely on for safety, peace, or power instead of God. “For I am the Lord your God… You shall have no other gods before Me.” — Exodus 20:2–3 God never needed an accessory to cover you. He doesn’t need a symbol to block what He already has authority over. No human envy, no spoken word, no unseen force is greater than Him. “The Lord will keep you from all harm — He will watch over your life.” — Psalm 121:7 When you truly understand who God is, fear loses its grip. You don’t need to protect yourself from the world — you’re already held by Him. So this isn’t about judgement. It’s about discernment. It’s about choosing faith over fear. Truth over trends. God over symbols. And once you see that… you simply don’t need it anymore. ✝️🤍 #evileyeprotection #evileye #faithingod #BibleWisdom
