The pedal cuts volume which I imagine is perceived as “tone suck” but I find boosting the level and matching on/off volume makes it fit into the room mix well. It’s subtle, an in the room, it has a bit of a clicky feel to the top end I can reduce a bit by reducing attack, but by attempting to make this pedal transparent, I begin to lose concept of why I need it. Higher settings definitely give a dramatic squish effect I find a bit weird, but is a staple for telecaster country type lead sounds.
