Due to on track incidents, a black flag began to wave to attempt to get vehicles off track but shortly after a Red Flag condition occurred and red flags came out. During the red flag, several cars were stopped along the front straight, clear of the racing line. After the vehicles were parked, a Telehandler emerged that was being used to assist with track operations related to the earlier on-track incident. In a moment that left everyone stunned, the telehandler smashed into a very valuable Tsukuba Time Attack Red R34 GT-R owned by The collision resulted in significant damage and quickly became one of the most talked-about moments in the car enthusiasts world.
