She’s scooching herself around, rearranging her potty pads (because of course she has opinions 😌), settling into her favorite spot… and even wiggling her way over to lay next to Logan. Her appetite is strong, she recognizes me, and she “talks” to me constantly now — and let me tell you, those little conversations are everything right now. We’ve started tapering her off the high-dose steroids, so this will be an important next phase in her journey. But overall… I am so incredibly proud of her. This girl has a will to live that is undeniable. She is fighting — hard — and we will be right here fighting alongside her every single step of the way. ⸻ A quick but important PSA for pig owners: We still don’t know — and may never know — what caused Penelope’s illness. These situations can be complex and come on fast. But there are a few things that are always important to keep in mind: • Always provide fresh, clean water • Remove any potentially toxic plants from your property • Never allow access to dog food or anything not meant for pigs • Be sure there are no poisons in your yard (rat bait, ant bait, pesticides, etc.) Were any of these the cause?
