Investigators discovered the dead man wasn’t Brandon Andrade at all. He was Steven Douglas Lloyd, a 34-year-old man who had allegedly been lured into the woods and killed. Police say the real suspect was Nicholas Wayne Hamlett, a fugitive who had been using Andrade’s stolen identity. According to authorities, Hamlett staged the fake bear attack to cover up the murder, steal Lloyd’s identity, and disappear again.
