Timing, Taste, Budgets, And Gatekeepers All Play A Role. And Sometimes, Projects You’re Deeply Proud Of End Up Sitting On A Hard Drive Longer Than You’d Like. For A While, I Wrestled With The Idea That Someone Else Had To “Greenlight” Whether This Film Ever Saw The Light Of Day. Eventually, I Realized Something Important: I Didn’t Need Permission To Share This Story. So Instead Of Waiting, I Chose Ownership. I Chose To Release It Myself And Let The Work Speak Directly To The People It Was Made For. If You’re Sitting On A Film, A Project, Or An Idea You Believe In, I Hope This Encourages You To Keep Pushing. Pitch It. Submit It To Festivals. Ask For Funding.
